Welcome to the Town of Franklin's Finance Department. Kyra Doster is a native of Swain County and a graduate of Swain County High School. Mrs. Doster graduated Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She previously served as an Accounting Specialist for Macon County, Macon County Finance Payroll/Accounts Payable Technician, and Finance Administrative Officer for the Macon County Sheriff’s Office.

The Finance Department provides financial management, oversight, monitoring and reporting functions for the Town of Franklin’s financial resources. Responsibilities include budget management, accounting, accounts payable and receivable, debt management, capital asset management, payroll and purchasing.

It is our goal to provide efficient and effective support and services to both internal and external customers while applying sound principles to ensure fiscal responsibility with the Town’s financial resources.
