Welcome to the Town of Franklin Finance Department

Sarah Bishop serves as the Finance Director for the Town of Franklin, bringing a decade of dedicated service to the municipality. She offers a practical and steady approach to managing the town’s fiscal health and supporting its daily operations.
 
Sarah holds certifications from the North Carolina Government Finance Officers Association (NCGFOA) and the North Carolina Local Government Budget Association (NCLGBA). She is also a graduate of the Municipal and County Administration program through the UNC School of Government. Her academic background includes an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Leadership from Capella University.
 
A lifelong resident of Franklin and a graduate of Franklin High School, Sarah takes great pride in serving her home community. She and her husband, Mitchell, are currently raising their three children in the area. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and staying active within her local church and also serves as Treasurer on the Macon County Carenet Board.
Alison Stamey serves as the Deputy Finance Director for the Town of Franklin, where she has dedicated the past eight years to excellence in municipal finance. A Certified Local Government Finance Officer through the NCGFOA, Alison holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Western Carolina University and an Associate in Arts from Southwestern Community College.

With a deep-seated passion for the public sector, Alison is committed to the fiscal integrity of her community and finds great fulfillment in serving the citizens of Franklin. She resides locally with her husband, Tyler, and their three fur babies: Sadie, Biscuit, and Turtle.
Reagan Chastain serves as an Accounting Technician for the Town of Franklin, where she has been an integral member of the Finance Department for the last three years. A proud local and Franklin High School alumna, Reagan holds an Associate in Arts from Southwestern Community College.

She is dedicated to her community's continued growth and plans to further her education in local government operations. When she isn't assisting with managing the town's finances, Reagan enjoys life in Franklin with her husband, Tye.

Responsibilities include budget management, accounting, accounts payable and receivable, debt management, capital asset management, payroll and purchasing.

It is our goal to provide efficient and effective support and services to both internal and external customers while applying sound principles to ensure fiscal responsibility with the Town’s financial resources.
