TOWN OF FRANKLIN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM
It is the policy of the Town of Franklin to promote a strong business presence within its corporate limits. In the spirit of this policy, the Town Council may find it necessary to stimulate economic development by offering incentives to offset costs associated with business location, expansion of an existing business, and/or revitalization of vacant buildings.
It is the policy of the Town of Franklin, when funding is available and budgeted by the Town Council, to provide economic development grants for companies, industries, commercial/retail business owners, and new entrepreneurs seeking to start or relocate businesses to Franklin. The Economic Development Incentives Policy is designed to stimulate private sector investment, economic growth and job creation in Franklin by offering grants consistent with this policy and all applicable laws. Moreover, it establishes a consistent manner for the Town’s participation in the development of business activity which will have a significant and positive effect on the economic health of the community now and in the future.
The Town of Franklin offers certain incentives for new and existing businesses within the Town's limits. These include: Facade Improvement Grant, Sign Grant, Infrastructure Grant, Rent Subsidy, Design Grant and Other Incentive Grants for Permitting and/or Utility Connections.
